Dogfish fans who would like to own a piece of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery history will want to stop by the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Department, Station 86, 219 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., every Saturday and Sunday in October to participate in a silent auction of beloved items from the original Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats.

Classic, off-centered fixtures like hand-carved dogfish shark tap handles, the replica barrel booth fit-out used in the design and creation of the new booths at the current pub, tables and chairs, and cozy light fixtures will be available for silent bidding.

Epitomizing the soul of Dogfish since 1995, the original pub began as the smallest commercial brewery in the United States and the start of the Dogfish Head story. "It's the end of one era for our original brewpub and the beginning of a new one," said Sam Calagione, founder and CEO of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery. "After over two decades in Rehoboth, we're excited to share our memories in the form of cherished items with Dogfish friends from where we first began our journey back in the mid-’90s, while also contributing profits generated to our local fire department through our Beer & Benevolence program."

All proceeds generated from the Dogfish silent auction will benefit the local Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Department.

Dogfish Head benevolently collaborates with nonprofit organizations to foster community, nourish artistic advancement and cultivate environmental stewardship. "Giving back to the community is an essential component to good living," said Calagione. "And we're proud to support our brothers and sisters who are making our corner of the planet a better place to live and work."
