Winter WonderFest, including the Light Spectacular and Christmas Village, Cape Henlopen State Park and Cape May-Lewes Ferry Terminal, Lewes. One-and-a-half-mile Light Spectacular at the state park and Christmas Village with ice skating rink, live music, indoor holiday workshops, strolling Santa and carnival rides including a giant ferris wheel. Dewey Beach Holiday Sip and Shop at The Starboard, Dewey Beach. Wide array of holiday gifts and original art in a fun shopping environment under a large heated tent in The Starboard parking lot. Event starts at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24 and 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25.

Nov. 24-26

Lavender Fields' Holiday Open House, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., 18864 Cool Spring Road, Milton. Special events to celebrate the season, including all things lavender, artisans and refreshments. For information call 684-1514.

Selfies with Santa at Tanger Outlets Seaside 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Meet Old St. Nick and Mrs. Claus, enjoy free hot chocolate and cider and bring your camera to take photos of you, the kids and Santa.

Tree lighting in Milton Memorial Park, 6 p.m. Come enjoy the start of the season with holiday caroling and a tree lighting.

Laurel Christmas Parade, 7 p.m. Parade begins on Evergreen Drive and proceeds north on Central Avenue to Maryland Avenue.

Making Spirits Bright benefit, 5:30 to 10 p.m., Delaware Technical Community College, Jack F. Owens Campus, 21179 College Drive, Georgetown. Event spreads good cheer to veterans and their families. Delaware Dance Company to present “The Nutcracker” at Mitchell Hall on the University of Delaware Campus, Newark. Performance times: Dec. 1 at 7 p.m.; Dec. 2, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.; Dec. 3, 2 p.m. Tickets are $35 for main floor seating, $28 for balcony seating and $15 for side balcony/obstructed view seating. Seniors 65 and older and children 10 and under are eligible for $5 off ticket price. Lewes Christmas Parade, 5 p.m., downtown Lewes. Parade lineup takes place between 3:30 and 4:15 p.m. Parade begins on Savannah Road at Sussex Drive and will end in front of King’s Ice Cream Shop on Second Street.  

Millsboro Christmas Parade, 5 to 7 p.m., downtown Millsboro.

Monday, Dec. 4

Caroling on the Circle, 6:30 p.m., The Circle in Georgetown. Community singing event doubles as food drive for Sussex County, drawing hundreds who turn out to sing carols and collect canned goods for area pantries, churches and food banks. Milton Holiday House Tour, 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sponsored by the Milton Women’s Club, event will feature many of the historic homes in town decorated for the holidays. On the day of the event, tickets will be available for $25 at the Women's Club of Milton booth in the Milton Fire Hall during the annual Holly Festival, The Mercantile at Milton or the Milton Historical Society and Museum.
