Pam Bounds-Seemans new artworks at Back Porch Café starting Sept. 15

September 13, 2017

Artist Pamella Bounds-Seemans will bring her fun and folksy paintings to the Back Porch Café in Rehoboth Beach beginning Friday, Sept. 15.

Bounds-Seemans is known for her acrylic paintings surrounded by a collage border and hand-painted frame. Her latest series is called Beaches to the South: Summer into Fall, and it includes scenes from Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, Bethany Beach and Fenwick Island.

"This show will feature paintings of beaches that I don't normally paint," Bounds-Seemans said. "Since soon Indian summer will become fall, I have also painted summer and autumnal scenes of area beaches that I am hoping everyone will enjoy."

Bounds-Seemans received a master of fine arts degree in painting from Highlands University in Las Vegas. She is a Delaware Division of the Arts fellowship recipient, and she won Best Artist from Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Va. Her works are owned and displayed around the world.

"Pam is an old, dear friend and has been a supporter of the Back Porch since before she became a famous artist," said restaurant co-owner Keith Fitzgerald. "Her work is original and different from everything everyone else is doing, but it still has a broad appeal. Her art livens up the restaurant and makes people feel good."
