Paris, retired neighborhood friends and the Cape Gazette

Neighbors became friends, friends became retirees and then…. Adventurers with the Gazette! Diane Debus, Bill Bishop, Nancy Fisher and Pat Bishop took a journey together in September to Paris. They enjoyed 4 days exploring the city; the Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Notre Dame, took a dinner cruise with music on the Seine and a tasting tour of Montmartre. Then they boarded a river cruise up the Seine to Normandy which included stops to Giverny, home and beautiful gardens of Monet, the palace of Versailles and finally the beaches of Normandy and the American Cemetery. “We felt the sorrow and the sacrifice our servicemen and women gave, a gift to the world so that the French people and all of us could remain free,” said Nancy. “We ended our travels back in Paris at the symbol everyone sees as France, the Eiffel Tower.
