Schell Brothers and the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce will present the 40th Annual Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival, set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8.
This annual event in downtown Bethany Beach hosts over 100 juried artists to showcase and sell their work. The featured artists bring unique creations representing a variety of different mediums including paintings, photography, woodwork, metalwork, clay, baskets and jewelry.
Supported by Carl M. Freeman Companies and Chesapeake Heating & Plumbing, the day will offer fun for the whole family. Participants can take part in an interactive, whimsical mural with local artist John Donato at his booth on the bandstand. Shoppers can also enjoy live music from the Mystic Warriors throughout the day, as well as a live radio broadcast by WGMD from 10 a.m. to noon.
There will be a silent auction featuring works of art generously donated by festival artists and local businesses. All proceeds from the silent auction will support the arts programs of four local elementary schools.
